Have you met my friend Dairy?

by

I know it’s May but we are going to flip the calendar back a couple months and talk about March for a minute, OK? March was a big month for me, in a 5 day stretch-

  • I was named the Wisconsin Ag Women’s Summit’s Agvocate of the year. Which was an incredible honor and I cried, blamed having a kid for my crying and said a bunch of words that I’m not sure made sense in front of a few hundred amazing Wisconsin women involved in Agriculture. You can watch me blubber HERE if you’re so inclined.
  • I traveled to Austin, TX and attended my very first #SXSW technology festival. While in Austin some fun dairy farming friends and I talked with people from the non-agriculture world about how cows and crops actually do intersect with technology. You can read more about our trip HERE. (I also rocked a red sequin skirt on a Sunday morning, because I could!)
  • After Austin, I headed West to L.A. for a super secret trip. I can finally spill the beans so this post is all about that secret trip!

I ran into Ozzy Osbourn at lunch. Crazy… train!

Starting in June, a new campaign promoting dairy products is going to be rolling out and I have a sneak peak for you! Look closely and you’ll see a familiar face!

I’d like to think I was picked to be a (tiny) part of the new ad campaign because of my stellar acting abilities but the truth is, I was picked because Carrie rhymes with dairy. Also true, it is incredibly awkward to stare into a camera for an hour smiling “authentically”.

Be on the lookout for more Undeniably Dairy ads coming soon and be sure to check out the Undeniably Dairy website!

And one more sneak peak, just because I think it’s hilarious!

Love the commercials (you should have a bigger part)! Love the red sequined skirt with the jean jacket…rockin’ the look. Keep up the great work!

This is the short sneak peek, the full version comes out in June, although I will say I don’t have much more of a “part”.

There is no one more fitting to have earned such an award! And coincidence that your name rhymes with dairy? I think not! Thank you for all you do for dairy farmers and the cows they love!

Carrie, your well-considered blog posts have earned you the recognition you were granted. You’ve spoken for agriculture in a polite, yet undeniably consistent manner. You state facts; you offer opinion and you do it well. I’m thrilled to see you named as “agvocate” of the year and I look forward to seeing your cameos in the commercials. 🙂
